
PARKER BENNETT 
 
Parker Bennett  (SHS  Class  of  2010).   Endurance  Athlete.  Parker excelled  in  the 
classroom  and  as  an  endurance  athlete  at  Sisters  High  School.    Parker was  an 
unrelenting competitor  in cross-country, on the  track  and  as  a  Nordic  skier.    He 
finished his SHS career with records in cross country, in the 1500 meters  (as the 
first  Outlaw  to  run  the  1500  in under  4  minutes), and  in  the  3000 
meters. Parker was  a  team  captain  and  named  MVP  his  senior  year  at  SHS  for 
both cross  country  and  track. Parker continued  his  running  career  at  Willamette 
University  (Salem,  OR).   He  ran  both  track  and  cross-country  and  earned  All-
American  honors  at  the  NCAA  Cross  Country  Championships. He  won  the 
Northwest Conference Cross Country Championship titles in 2012 and 2013 while 
helping his Willamette team win team championships both years, and was named 
All-Academic  three  times  by  the  USTFCCCA.  In  track, Parker won  the  5000 
meters  at  the  Northwest  Conference  Championships  and  placed  second  another 
year.  He  also  worked  with  Ten  Friends  in  Nepal  to  support  schools  and 
orphanages.   For  these  and  other  efforts, Parker received  a  Ford  Family 
Foundation  Scholarship  while  at  SHS  and  the  Willamette  University  J.  H.  Booth 
Award  as  the  top  senior male  student-athlete.  Parker is  Certified  Group  Fitness 
Instructor  with  a  M.S.  of  Exercise  Science  Degree  and  is  living  in  Berlin, 
Germany.
