NATALIE AMBROSE DEMUTH 
 
Natalie Ambrose DeMuth (SHS Class of 2014). Scholar, Athlete, Leader.  
Natalie’s journey embodies excellence in academics, athletics, and leadership. She was co-
valedictorian while experiencing all SHS had to offer – AP/Honors classes, IEE Intern, Future 
Business Leader, Mentor, Homecoming and Prom Courts, and Sisters Chamber, American 
Legion,  and  multiple  academic honoree.  On the  soccer  pitch,  Natalie  is  among  the best 
produced by SHS. She holds the SHS records for most assists and goals (season and career) 
while  achieving  All-League  and  All-State  (first  team)  each  of  her  four  years.  Her 
contributions helped SHS secure four league championships and two state final appearances 
(player  of  the  match  each  time).  As  a  club  player,  she  was  a  four-star  recruit,  Oregon 
Olympic Development Program player, and the winner of a world championship in Sweden. 
On the track, Natalie was a multiple state finalist and league champion in the 100m, 200m, 
400m, 4x100m, and 4x400m. She ended her career in the SHS top five in the 100m, 200m,

), and long jump. 
Natalie continued at Division 1  Columbia University (NYC). She was  All-Ivy League four 
years, team captain, Ivy League Defensive Player of the Year, and All-East Region, Dean’s 
List, and All-Academic. For her efforts, Natalie received the Columbia University Leader of 
the Year Award and the Kings Crown Leadership Excellence Award, and was a finalist for 
the Campbell Award (Top Student-Athlete - Year) and the Maniatty Award (Top Student-
Athlete - Career). Natalie continued her business interests with NBC Sports and IBM, as an 
angel investor (sustainability issues), and as a business consultant at international consulting 
firm Bain & Company. She is married to her Columbia classmate, Turner DeMuth.
